Susedná Česká republika plánuje 29 sietí digitálneho rozhlasového vysielania v štandarde DAB+, dve celoštátne siete a 27 regionálnych.

Český telekomunikačný úrad to navrhuje vo verejnej konzultácii, do ktorej navrhol podmienky výberového konania na frekvencie počítajúce s takýmto počtom sietí.

Jednotlivé regionálne siete majú pokrývať jeden až niekoľko krajov.

Digitálne DAB+ vysielanie umožňuje využívať spektrum efektívnejšie ako pri analógovom vysielaní a na jednom kanáli o šírke 1.7 MHz je možné vysielať typicky viac ako desiatku staníc najmä v efektívnom kompresnom štandarde HE-AAC.

V Česku sa už niekoľko rokov vysiela celoštátny multiplex Českého rozhlasu, ktorého pokrytie od druhej polovice roka 2020 dosahuje 95% populácie. Multiplex sa vysiela na kanáloch 12C a 12D, 12C v Čechách a 12D na Morave.

Na Slovensku sa tiež vysiela jeden celoštátny multiplex spoločnosti Towercom, v ktorom sú najmä stanice RTVS. Jeho pokrytie bolo zvýšené naposledy na začiatku tohto mesiaca, pokrytie má podľa dostupných informácií dosahovať 60% populácie.

Pretože aj na bežnom dnešnom rádiu sa dá mať zážitok... Tak ako je rozdiel medzi telkami, je rozdiel aj medzi rádiami... a môže byť moderné rádio, ale keď sa tam napchá staníc, čo to vojde ako je zvykom kvôli nákladom, vysielanie dostáva na frak.
