In this introductory session the threat landscape as well as the benefits of embracing a proactive "define what you want to enable and disable everything else by default" are discussed. Risk Management is the basis for effective security which itself means security needs to become an asset for any business. People and process oriented security measures are at least as important as technical details. Finally, the importance of meaningful policies and employee outreach are discussed.
