Vývoj operačného systému Windows 10 skončil, ďalšia nová hlavná verzia už nebude a bezpečnostná podpora pre poslednú verziu definitívne skončí v októbri 2025.

Spoločnosť Microsoft to oznámila dnes.

Poslednou hlavnou verziou Windows 10 bude verzia 22H2, ktorá bola vydaná v októbri minulého roka. Tejto skončí pre všetky edície podpora 14. októbra 2025, pričom tento termín spoločnosť avizovala s príchodom Windows 11 ako termín konca podpory Windows 10 už nejaký čas.

Operačný systém Windows 10 bol uvedený v júli 2015. Hoci spoločnosť pôvodne v minulosti avizovala, že Windows 10 bude poslednou verziou Windows, spoločnosť bude priebežne vylepšovať Windows 10 a ďalšie verzie s novým označením neplánuje, nakoniec v októbri 2021 vydala novú verziu Windows 11.

Hoci Windows 11 vychádza z Windows 10 a pri uvedení obsahoval len malé vylepšenia, ide technicky o novú verziu Windows. Podstatným rozdielom sú výrazne zvýšené minimálne nároky na hardvér, kvôli čomu Windows 11 v čase jeho vydania nebol oficiálne podporovaný na veľkej časti existujúcich PC.

Príde mi to ako divný krok nakoľko Win 10 sa celkom uchytil, má dokonca asi aj väčšiu adopciu ako mal win XP. Som za upgrade ale nie na Win 11, ktorý prakticky nic nové/zaujímavé neponúka. Jednoducho bude stále tvoriť nové a nové verzie a staré odstrihávať - pričom požiadavky budú vyššie a vyššie. Nechcem prorokovať, ale možno za 5-10 rokov bude podmienkou neurónové prepojenie medzi užívateľom a jeho PC/NB. Za to si dobre pamätám ako som niekde v 2007 nadával na Vistu ze MS prerobil UI a musím hľadať nastavenia lebo sa k nim nepreklikam tak ako som zvyknutý a musím hľadať inde. A skusat, sksuat, skusat... Cudujem sa, ze za tolky cas a mnozstva ludi, co sa angazaju v linux OS, sa stale nenasla verzia , ktora by bola uzivatelsky schodna aj pre beznych uzivatelov.
