Súkromné pristátie na Mesiaci skončilo zrejme nárazom

Pokus o prvé pristátie súkromnej misie na Mesiaci sa nepodaril a loď Hakuto-R M1 zrejme narazila do povrchu vo vysokej rýchlosti.

Potvrdila to japonská spoločnosť ispace stojaca za misiou.

Spoločnosť v oznámení stručne zhŕňa aj v súčasnosti známe informácie. Loď bola pri finálnom približovaní vo vertikálnej pozícii. Pri pristávaní začala loď ale výrazne zvyšovať rýchlosť zostupu, oznámenie naznačuje že k tomu prišlo po znížení množstva paliva na nízku hranicu. Následne tím s loďou stratil komunikáciu a už ju neobnovil.

Na základe týchto informácií je podľa spoločnosti vysoká pravdepodobnosť, že loď pristála na povrchu Mesiaca tvrdým pristátím, teda nárazom.

Spoločnosť ešte detailne analyzuje telemetrické dáta a následne zverejní detailné informácie.

Loď odštartovala v decembri a úspešne splnila viaceré ciele misie až po vstúpenie na orbitu Mesiaca v marci, pristáť sa jej teda ale úspešne nepodarilo.

Misia bola jednou z misií, ktoré pôvodne súťažili v súťaži Google Lunar Xprize o odmenu 20 miliónov dolárov za prvé súkromné pristátie na Mesiaci. V súťaži zostávalo ešte päť tímov, ktoré mali zazmluvnené aj vynesenie svojich lodí, keď Google v roku 2018 zrušil financovanie tejto odmeny po posunoch a nestihnutí posledného termínu žiadnym z tímov.

O pristátie na Mesiaci sa už pokúšal aj ďalší z tímov v tejto súťaži, izraelský SpaceIL. Jeho misia Berešit tiež neuspela a v apríli 2019 pri pristávaní narazila do povrchu.

Japonská ispace plánuje vo svojej snahe pokračovať a pracuje na ďalších dvoch misiách na Mesiac, ktoré sú plánované na roky 2024 a 2025.
